Lucy is a well-respected African filmmaker. She was born in Tanzania and grew up in Kenya before moving to Europe where she worked in the media industry. Having lived in Europe for almost two decades, she came back to her motherland Kenya. She is the CEO, founder and owner of the production company C-Through Productions Ltd and the CEO and co-owner of the Kenya-based production company S&L Homemade Productions Ltd.
She is best known for creating and producing DSTV award nominated TV series “Rush”, a Kenyan produced television show, which was first aired on DSTV Maisha Magic (the largest cable television company in Africa) and has been the first English language African show to be translated into French and Portuguese.
One of Lucy’s latest projects, “Minjiba Entertains: Africa Like You’ve Never Seen It!”, is 13 half hour cooking shows featuring African fusion cuisine and lifestyles of the hip and fabulous younger generation of Africans. Minjiba Entertains is the first lifestyle series shot in Kenya for an American channel. ‘Minjiba Entertains’ is currently airing on ‘Discovery Network Africa & Asia’.
