Alison Taupier is an award-winning documentary film director, writer and producer. She began her career as a fashion designer before moving to Los Angeles. She worked as a stylist and costume designer in film and television prior to producing the award-winning short ‘Big Wheel’.
Her directorial debut, the short documentary, ‘Bobcats On Three’, premiered at Big Sky Documentary Film Festival where it was nominated for Best Short Documentary. It went on to win Best Documentary at the Pasadena International Film Festival, First Place at the Rhode Island International Film Festival and The Award of Excellence at the Best Shorts Competition. It premiered on the ESPN and ABC networks.
Other credits include, as a producer, ‘The Big Empty’, ‘Tripping’, a documentary on Ken Kesey, the Formula 1 documentary ‘1: Life on the Limit’ and ‘Mosley: It’s Complicated’ on the life of Max Mosley.
Alison is currently writing and directing her first feature documentary ‘The Hags’ based on an all-female punk skateboard gang in the 1980’s.
